Our club was founded in 1985 and is one of more than 32400 Rotary Clubs in 162 countries with over 1.2 million members worldwide. We have no political or religious affiliations. Our members are prepared to give their time and expertise to serve their community, locally or on the world stage.
Locally, apart from the Kentmere Challenge, we are involved in The Westmorland and Cartmel Shows. We run a Swim-marathon event enabling many local charities to raise money for theie own use. We work with local schools in promoting projects such as technology tournaments, outwardbound events and debating competitions. Internationally, we are at the moment helping in developing a school in Kwa Zulu Natal.
Our members come from many different walks of life and meet weekly at the Gilpin Bridge hotel in Levens. Should you wish to know more about our club or Rotary in general then please go to www.rotary-ribi.org or contact our secretary Paul Hicks at pa_hicks@btinternet.com
